Susan Downhower, M.A.

From onboarding new clinicians to managing billing processes, my role as Practice Manager focuses on the operational side of the practice. With a range of administrative experience and a passion for keeping systems organized behind the scenes, my goal is to ensure that the day-to-day operations of Neutral Ground Counseling Group run smoothly so our clinical team can focus on providing the best care to their clients.

My journey began with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Management from the University of Denver. I later earned a master’s degree in Education from the University of Colorado Denver, specializing in mathematics, reflecting my passion for helping others learn and grow.

I continued expanding my education by earning an Early Childhood Education Director and Teacher certification from Arapahoe Community College, as well as a Paralegal Certification from the Denver Paralegal Institute. It’s no surprise that I ultimately dedicated more than two decades of my career to the field of education.

After earning a Human Resources Management certification from California State University, Fullerton, I decided to step back from teaching and transition into consulting, where I could apply my leadership, management, and organizational skills in a new way. That background ultimately led me to Neutral Ground Counseling Group, where I now apply those skills to support the operational and administrative systems that help our clinical team do their work effectively.
